Nuo (Nolan) Wang, CTO

Dr. Wang is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of the company. He is responsible for all technical aspects of the company operation including product development, quality control, quality assurance, and regulatory. He is the leading scientist of the company for developing innovative products and technologies. Dr. Wang has over 22 years of pharmaceutical industrial experience with extensive experience in formulation & process development, manufacturing, and quality operation. Dr. Wang is specialized in extended/controlled release oral drug delivery dosage forms, as well as specialty pediatric and geriatric dosage forms. He is the inventor of the company’s SD drug delivery platform, a proprietary power for oral liquid dosage form that is specifically designed for pediatric and geriatric patients. Prior to founding the company, Dr. Wang served as Vice President of Product Development at AustarPharma LLC and Senior Manager of Technology Development at URL Pharma, Inc. (formerly URL/Mutual, acquired by Takeda America Holdings, Inc.). Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics from Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy of Long Island University, Brooklyn, New York, and a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, Guangzhou, China.

Willie W. Wu, Chief Operating Officer

Willie W. Wu had close to 30 years of prior Sales & Marketing experiences across industries (Market Research, PBM, Pharma, Biotech, FMCG, and CRO), markets (China and U.S.), and from MNCs (e.g., BMS, Merck) to Chinese companies (e.g., Synutra Int’l Inc., China Biological Products, Pharmaron (US) Clinical Services Inc.). A sociologist/demographer by training (Department of Sociology and Carolina Population Center, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill).

Larry Liu, Director of QC

Dr. Liu is Director of Analytical R&D and Quality Control of the company. He is responsible for analytical method development, R&D research supporting, and quality control. Dr. Liu has 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and involved in the NDA and ANDA application in the solid dosage form and liquid dosage form. Before joining in pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Liu had over 10 years of experience in the academic field of analytical chemistry and published over 20 papers.

Rudolph J. Del Gavio , Director of Quality Assurance

Mr. Del Gavio is the Director of Quality Assurance for the company.  He ensures that the quality systems, product quality, and all manufacturing/testing activities are in compliance with cGMP’s and FDA guidance.  His experience includes; research scientist at Johnson & Johnson, QC and QA manager at L’Oréal USA, and QA Director for contract manufacturing at NeoStrata/Johnson & Johnson.   Mr. Del Gavio has a “hands on” approach to quality, manufacturing, compliance, audits and continuous quality improvement.  His 20 years of manufacturing and quality experience is a valuable addition to the Brillian team.

Richard J. Deckelbaum, Scientific Advisor

Richard J. Deckelbaum, MD, CM, FRCP(C), received his education at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He directs the Institute of Human Nutrition at Columbia University where he holds professorships in nutrition, pediatrics, and epidemiology.  Dr. Deckelbaum has published over 400 research and other publications.  His laboratory has defined a number of molecular pathways whereby omega-3 fatty acids provide protective benefits in liver and cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction and stroke.  He is co-editor of a number of books, such as Preventive Nutrition: The Comprehensive Guide for Health Professionals, now in its 5th edition, and has served on the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academies of Science.
